Darling 1940s daffodil yellow maxi dress. I adore the ruffled sweetheart neckline and ruffled cold shoulder sleeves. So sweet and saucy at the same time. Darted bodice and inverted V waistline for extra volume in the pretty floor length skirt. The fabric is a very lightweight taffeta with just a hint of shimmer. The little ruffled shoulders are elasticated for comfort. Perfection!

This 1940s daffodil yellow maxi dress is in very good condition. There are few very minor marks similar to pencil marks and two pinholes hidden in the volume of the skirt. There is a small faint mark on the back of the bodice, and a small line and pinhole near the hem on the back (see photos). The metal side zipper is perhaps a later addition and was professionally sewn so it looks great. The color is most accurate in the flat lay photos, it is a soft pastel. This beauty is over 70 years old and still remarkably fresh, clean and vibrant. A true Spring time pleasure.
