1940s Cornflower Blue Dress & Jacket Set

Vintage 1940s rayon dress & jacket set. Gorgeous cornflower blue with a Deco flower print. Originally worn in the early 40s as a wedding ensemble, this set was handmade by the bride's mother. The dress has a high neckline that ties with a little bow & puffed sleeves with padded shoulders. Beautiful tucks at the waist and shoulder yoke for a figure-skimming silhouette. Gored skirt. Hidden metal Talon zips at the side of the dress and in the neckline for ease. Jacket has notched lapels, puff sleeves, little patch pockets and original Deco buttons. Trimmed in matching grosgrain ribbon. Excellent condition, worn lightly and lovingly stored. Clean & bright. Fabric is supple.  A true heirloom treasure.
