Antique Victorian Tea Dress

Antique tea dress circa the 1890s. Wonderful mutton sleeves & high neckline adorned with pintucks and lace insets. The skirt has a flat front panel, wide ruffled bottom and slightly bustled back for a huge sweep at the hem. Buttons up the back with hidden hook & eyes in the skirt. This dress was a family heirloom and lovingly stored for all of these years so it is in excellent condition. It is clean & bright white with ony two discreet period repairs to note~a small darn on the back of one hip and a machine sewn seam hidden in the folds of the bustle. See photo. An iconic silhouette of the era that inspired Laura Ashely's 70s prairie dresses. And so rare to find a dress of this era in this size. A true heirloom treasure.

Flat Measurements~Shoulders 16" Chest 21" Waist 16" Hip 25" Length 55" Length shoulder to waist 16" There is a tiny bit of ease in the waist and the bust. The waist of the dress is pinned in the photos of the front of the dress so you can see the silhouette.
